The Great Adaptation

Influential therapist Esther Perel is the author of the bestsellers Mating in Captivity and The State of Affairs and host of the popular podcasts “Where Should We Begin” and “How’s Work?” Her TED Talks have garnered more than 20 million views, and she’s been named one of Oprah Winfrey’s SuperSoul 100 visionaries.

In this address, she’ll discuss how the role, goals, and limitations of therapy are shifting in a time of collective trauma and overlapping large-scale crises. She’ll also explain the importance of social support and resourcing one another as practitioners, so we can cultivate flexibility, nimbleness, and adaptability as key skills for meeting this moment. To remain stable emotional supports for our clients, we need to know how to bend without breaking.
